1) All 12 courts closed for re-surfacing 7 am December 18 through December 24. No one is allowed on the courts during this time.

2) Update on Club Clinics: Members have been conducting clinics for players at the 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5 levels. There has been a strong response from the 3.0 and 3.5 players. Response from the 2.5 players has been disappointing low. Clinics will continue throughout the month of December for the 3.0, and 3.5 players. They will be held during the regular skill level drop in times for each respective group.

The 2.5 clinic is officially cancelled. Towards the end of December, a decision will be made about whether or not to reinstate the 2.5 clinic, but also to continue clinics for the other two groups as well. This decision will be based on demand and member requests and feedback.

3) Holiday Golf Cart Parade, Monday. 12/14, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Members have been asking if they do not own a golf cart are they welcome to come join the “parade” in their car……the answer is YES. Please come join in the last social event of the year. Please see the flyers at the courts or as you log in to the Club website the main page for more information.

4) Court Cleaning: We wanted to thank Bob Ellis, Dave Walker, Earle Greenburg, Mike O’Meara, Keith Darrow, Garth Merkel, Stu McWilliams and Dennis Gallaher and others for all their work cleaning the courts. Because of their efforts we were able to keep the courts open.

5) Dues Renewal: The last “in person” renewal event for this year was held today. The next one will be January 5th. You can still mail in your application, but please use the new application found on the Club website or at the courts and please follow the instructions carefully.

6) Creation of FB Page: A new Facebook group called, The Grand Pickle has been started by, tailored for and written about our own Sun City Grand Pickleball players (you don’t have to be a Pickleball Club member to join). A great place to make new friends, find people to play with and post photos and videos of action on the court or those great medal photos you get at tournaments. If you are not a Facebook member, this is a great reason to open your free account. This Facebook group is not under the direction of any Pickleball Club officer and does not use any club resources. For any questions or concerns, contact group administrators Earle Greenberg or Joe Williams
