Just a couple of notes about our pickleball club.
- There is still time to sign up for our 4th of July picnic and round robin play. It is $5 per person and that pays for the hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, bbq chicken, buns and condiments plus we are providing soda and water. If you have already emailed me then I have you on the guest list. If you feel like bringing a side dish or dessert, please let me know that as well.
- During each summer, we set aside certain courts to be reserved by club members and non club members during club drop in. This is done to allow non club members to use the courts before it gets too hot. This season, we have set aside courts 17-22 that are open to be reserved. Some time next week, there will be signs that can be put on the gate saying “This Court is Reserved”.
- As a reminder, our club members can sign up for the December tournament on July 19th. This is a day earlier than anybody else. You will need to be a member of USAPA to play in the tournament. The cost of this membership is $20 and you can sign up on the USAPA website. Being a USAPA member gets you a number of benefits as posted on their website. The reason you need to be a member is because our tournament is sanctioned by the USAPA and they provide liability and participant accident insurance coverage for our tournament, which is required by CAM.
