A Message from the Prez,
The skill level drop-in courts are reserved so that folks can get together with other folks that are at the same skill level. Please be considerate and play only in the skill level drop-in that is appropriate for you. If you're not sure, there are some guidelines online (see the website--> skill levels or www.grandpickleball.org/skill_levels.html directly).
The grey storage box is getting full again of items that were left on the courts. We will be taking these items to Good Will on Monday. If you were thinking of giving a relative, you really don't like, an old sweaty shirt or hat for Christmas, now's your chance to do some early shopping. OR, more appropriately, you might want to check it out before Monday to see if any of the items in there are yours.
There are 45 of our club members who have expressed interest in the interclub skill level drop in. We're still working on it.
The weather forecast is hot, changing to scattered HOT and finally settling in as HOT. Take care of yourselves out there folks.

A Message from the Social Director,
Well, our first social
function was a great success. We had 29
fun loving people join us for our trip down the river. I
would especially like to thank Glenn Turner for waiting for the rest of us
to come to the finish of our ride and making sure we all got out of our tubes
safely. For all of you who did not sign
up for the Salt River Tubing trip, you certainly missed a good time.
Our next outing is the
Arizona Diamondback ball game July 21st vs. the Chicago Cubs. As of right now, we have 31 people signed up
for this trip, so if you are looking to go you don't have much time left to
join us. Cut off for this event is June 30th and all
checks have to be to me by July 5th.
The 2 Lake Pleasant Boat Trips
are all booked. This trip had to be held by my charge card so if you can't
make it you will either have to find some one else to take your place or you
will have to pay me for this event.
Hope to see more of you pickleballer's at some of these fun activities.
Your Social Director
Kathy Lawless
