This will be a skill level double elimination tournament where after your first loss you drop down to the loser’s bracket. You may still play back up to the winner’s bracket for the medal rounds.
Initial games will be 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2.
Loser bracket games will be 1 game to 15, win by 2.
All medal matches will be 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2.
There will be 5 skill levels.
Senior 4.5 (Open)
Senior 4.0 (A)
Senior 3.5 (B)
Senior 3.0 (C)
Senior 2.5 (Novice)
Players must be at least 45 years of age by December 9,2009.
USA Pickleball Association Rules will govern play.
There will be a maximum of 32 teams in each skill level.
There will be Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in all skill levels.
Player registration will be online beginning October 5th and will close November 16th.
Registration fee will be $15 which includes the first event and $10 for a subsequent event.
Each player will provide a signed waiver prior to play.
The SCG Team Level Verification Committee will have final say in determining team skill level.
