| Welcome to the final chapter: These are the smaller things that were accomplished this summer. The practice backboard that’s in the big breezeway by courts 20-21 has been raised to allow better practice for those wanting to warm up. All of the ball machines were serviced and repaired (Thanks to Bob Jerred and his team) and are ready to be used. There will be a place to reserve them on Court Reserve during the upcoming season. There are (6) 4-foot red numbered clocks between every two courts on both sides to help keep track of time. They can also be set to show time, temp and date. Currently they only show the time as no one here needs to be reminded that it’s 110 degrees while we are playing. Court Reserve has a new program/app that the club will be using during the season for Tournaments, ladders and group play. It’s called Swish sports app, and you can download it to your phone and click into the Grand pickleball club. We have been running test groups this summer and it works very well for any type of round robin play. Lastly, a great big THANK YOU to Janelle Hansen of Realty One Group for providing the Powerade freezer pops that really help us out and she just put Cool Ties into each Fridge for our members to use and take home (please only take one and reuse it).
