(Part 1) Did you ever wonder what happens around the courts after the Snowbirds (aka Heat Chickens) start to leave Grand before summer really kicks in? It’s the time of year that we reset the courts and get big projects done before the start of the new season. The board, each year plans out things that we want to accomplish while it’s 1000 degrees out and we won’t be bothering anyone. One of the big items this year, was reconditioning the Pavilion area to make it more user friendly and improve its overall look.
The concrete floor was sanded. All of the electrical was updated and increased throughout the pavilion including the ceiling fans and can lights (Thanks to My AZ Electricians).
Furniture was purchased (Thanks to Pam Speer and Pure Patio for the awfully nice furniture).
An ice machine/water bottle filler was added, and finally, a mister curtain now surrounds the entire pavilion (about 15 degrees cooler in the pavilion versus the outside temp). There are still a couple of items that still need completing, but it’s starting to look really nice. Stay tuned for part 2 of What We did during your summer vacation.
Thanks
Stay cool and safe
