It is with incredible sadness that I let the pickleball club and all of the Grand residents know of the passing of Bob Barczak. He died at home on Friday, February 6 at 3:30 PM after an almost 2-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bob and Kris were some of the first people Susan and I met at the pickleball courts, and they made us feel like we were home. Bob and Kris were a huge part of the pickleball club, always volunteering to help out with tournaments, gatherings, and teaching others how to be pickleball referees. Both spent many mornings at Drop-In, always with a smile and a kind word.
Bob got to referee for the last time at the Surprise courts for the Monster Smash on October 27th, 2025.
Kris requests that there not be any flowers dropped off at the house due to allergies.
All of our hopes and prayers are with the Barczak family.
If I get more information at a later date, I will pass it on.
