It is time to register for the Arizona Pickleball Players League (APPL)!
About APPL
The upcoming season runs from January 1, 2027, through the end of March 2027. APPL is a team-based pickleball league featuring divisions broken down by skill level and age. This year, they are adding a 70+ division for men’s and women’s doubles at the 3.0 and 3.5 skill levels. (Note: Your age division is determined by your age as of December 31, 2027.)

If you are new to APPL, seasoned players in our club are happy to answer your questions. Registration for new teams opens Wednesday, October 7th.

Important Information & Vote: Inter-Community Play Approval
Per the Sun City Grand Community Association Chartered Club Policies & Procedures (Section 5.8 Inter-Community Play), our club membership must vote to approve hosting outside clubs or teams on Grand’s courts.Tennis, Bocce Ball and Lawn Bowling also require a membership vote for Intercommunity play.
As your Board of Directors, we use court reservation data to select days and times that minimize the impact on regular club activities (drop-in, night mixers, ratings, round robins, ladders, and clinics). Once approved by a membership vote, APPL must strictly adhere to the designated schedule. Any unused courts due to byes or schedule changes will be immediately released back into the reservation system for general club use.
Based on feedback from visiting teams and club players, we are proposing the following schedule:
– Saturdays, 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM: 12 courts (accommodates 8 Grand teams)
– Wednesdays, 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM: 3 courts (accommodates 2 Grand teams)
