Well, here it is, the last few hours of 2022 and I’ve only sent out @175 email blasts this year. I think that it’s been a record year for the Sun City Grand Pickleball Club. Almost 1850 club members as of this morning (World’s Largest?) and over 73,000 members used the courts in 2022 (Just think what the number would be if everyone swiped in). Tons of new things happened like Ladders, Luck of the Draw, Grand Games II, Pickleball Den (Thanks to all of Verlin’s hard work), new Drop-In processes (Speaking of new Drop-In process, tomorrow starts the new court set up for Drop-In. No more Challenge Courts. If I get up early enough, the court level designations and paddle holders will be put up. I’ll send out another blast tomorrow with the new court levels and where the paddle holders are now located). We’ve said all along that the Drop-In Process was an ongoing trial and hopefully this time we have it figured out.
2023 looks to be even better. The new Board is anxious to get started and come up with more new and exciting things to do on and around the pickleball courts.
