GRAND GAMES IV IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

So, you want to know what is going to happen at the upcoming Grand Games IV next Monday and Tuesday.
Everyone is welcome to come out and watch the fun, have a snack, buy lunch and a few raffle tickets and just enjoy the day.

Mark (Tournament Director) will be sending out emails to the players about check in times and other information soon.  

CHECK IN:

  • Players will check in at the Admin/Check In tent and receive a T-shirt, food ticket, complimentary Selkirk Pro S1 ball and a wrist band. 

PLAY:  Each bracket will play a 7-game round robin format playing games to 15 points (win by 1) (1 time out per game) with the top 4 teams going to the Medal rounds with referees.  
Medal round:  1 game to 21(win by 1) (2-time outs per game).  The winners will play for the gold medal, 1 game to 21 (win by 1) (2-time outs per game) and the losers playing for the bronze medal, 1 game to 21 (win by 1) (2-time outs per game).  The 2 brackets that only have 2 teams in it will be merged with another bracket for the purposes of the round robin format but will play each other after the round robin for the gold medal.

T-SHIRTS: There will be a number of extra T-Shirts available to purchase (cost is $15) at the admin tent.

SNACKS: 

  • There will be fruit, Chex mix, Pretzels, Desserts, Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate and water available in the Pavilion. 

VENDORS:  There will be a couple of vendors located in the parking lot by the admin tent

LUNCH: Served @11AM until 130PM both days in the parking lot by the Pavilion (look for the smoke and food tents).   Cost is either a meal coupon or a $5 donation.  Tables and chairs will be set up in the parking lot by the Pavilion.

  • MENU (choice of 1 entree)
  • 1/3 lb. hamburger/cheeseburger  
  • Beef hot dog  
  • BBQ pulled pork (Tipsy Pig) sandwich.  
  • Veggie Burger  
  • Assorted Chips  
  • Soda/Water  
  • Dessert  

RAFFLE TICKETS:  We have over $6000 worth of paddles and other prizes (We will have @15 paddles up for raffle each day) for someone to win.  There will be (2) levels of raffle tickets available to buy all around the courts each day of the tournament.  You do not have to be present to win a prize.

  • Red/Green/Blue tickets: Cost per ticket is $2 or 3 tickets for $5.  These tickets are for paddles and prizes worth $20 – $249 – Drawings will be held during the day each day of the tournament.  Winning tickets will be posted around the courts and in an email sent out at the end of the tournament.  Raffle tickets bought on Monday will still be in the running to win the raffle prizes on Tuesday.
  • Gold tickets:  Cost per ticket is $3 or 2 tickets for $5.  These tickets are for the paddles worth $250 – $330.  Winning Tickets will be drawn at the end of the tournament for the gold ticket prizes. 

All proceeds from the tournament will go towards the purchase of the new court vacuum cleaner.
