Happy Holidays to one and all!
Just a few notes about happenings around the courts.
Our December 6-7 club tournament raised $2200. A huge Thank You to Deb Pelegrin for her donation of the pickleball quilt. It was a giant success. The tournament couldn’t have happened without the volunteers who helped each day and the volunteers who brought the homemade desserts.
The vote to approve the 2026 budget ended today and it passed with a 95% yes vote. That means that the dues for 2026 will be $54 for members who did not volunteer in 2025 and $34 for those members who did volunteer.
We have been getting quite a few emails about renewing for 2026. Court Reserve will send out an invoice (bill) around midnight on December 31, 2025. At that time, you can start to renew. Again, the cost will be $54 for members who did not volunteer and $34 for those who did volunteer.
This raises the question- How do I know if I got a volunteer credit in 2025? Simple, go on Court Reserve and look in your profile, scroll down to monitor credit and it would say Yes if you did volunteer and no or blank if you did not volunteer in 2025. If you think there is an issue, please contact Mark Meier to correct it.
The next question is – When can I get the new purple 2026 sticker? We will be having Sticker Parties on January 7, 10, 21 and 24 from 9AM- 1PM. For those who do not know what a Sticker Party is, it’s where we hand out the new year’s sticker in the pavilion to members and we help people renew, fix issues, make name labels for members paddles but most of all, enjoy the coffee and donuts provided by Janelle Hansen of Realty One Group.
Lastly, if you are looking for private pickleball lessons for yourself or a loved one, Dave Weinbach will be in town from December 17-January 4. Dave is one of the top Senior Men’s Pro’s on the professional tour. There is a charge for the lessons. Please email me for more information.
Again, I hope that everyone has a great holiday season and a bigger and better 2026.
Thanks
Troy
