1. You may have noticed that over the past several months, the club has been redoing all of the signage around the courts. The latest sign to be added is a new monitor station sign. It has been mounted on the outside wall of the pavilion directly in front of court #1. Please take a moment to stop and read it. The new sign contains all of the rules for non-member/residents and guests to play on the pickleball courts. Hopefully, this will aid our volunteer monitors by providing clear, concise, and consistent information so there are no misunderstandings of the rules.
2. You may also have noticed that the blue benches have been removed from the breezeways and pavilion. Your Board of Directors has been busy shopping for and choosing new furniture for the pickleball court complex. New furniture has been ordered and will begin appearing in stages over the next several weeks. In order to make room for the new furniture, the old furniture needed to be removed. The cushioned furniture will also be removed as the new furniture is delivered. We ask for your patience while this transition occurs.
3. Last, but not least, on June 9th, 10th and 11th, Susan Pitsenberger, Nancy Ash, and the Fountain of Hope/Phoenix Dream Center will be placing bins at the pickleball complex for the collection of women’s tennis shoes. The Fountain of Hope/Phoenix Dream Center has been and continues to be an organization that helps women of all ages that have been trafficked or are homeless. If you have women’s tennis shoes that you can spare, please consider bringing them to the courts and contributing to this very worthy cause.
