1) The pickleball club membership meeting will be held Tuesday March 8 at 3 pm in the Aqua Fria Room. February’s financials and minutes are posted on the web site.

2) Don’t forget about the Pickleball clubs Lunch and day trip to Turf Paradise race track on Monday April 18. It will be a fun day at the races, price is $24 per person and includes a Buffet lunch, admission, club house seats, how to wager guide, 1 named race, and a group photo. Tickets will be on sale at the pavilion on Tuesday March 8 from 4 – 6 pm, and Saturday March 12 from 9 am to 12 pm, cash or make check payable to SCG Pickleball Club. Donate to Play for Red Nose Day
You’re about to do something really incredible.    The money you donate will make a huge difference to children and young people both here in the United States and in some of the poorest communities around the world. Thank You.

WHO…Linda’s Sunday PB friends will be filmed playing Pickleball with Red Noses and other fun attire as part of Red Nose Simply Silly – 50 Stories/50 States.  We are also looking for  children of varying ages to be there to play… let me know if you have grand children that could come and be a part of this red nose campaign dedicated to raising money for children and young people.

We also welcome others who would like to donate.  Those who have scheduled other courts that day we welcome and encourage your donation and wear a Red Nose to play.

DONATIONS NOT REQUIRED TO PLAY BUT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

WHAT… What is Red Nose Day?…Red Nose Day is a campaign dedicated to raising money for children and young people living in poverty by having fun and making people laugh. A three hour live televised benefit hosted by NBC, featuring comedy, parodies, musical performances and *short appeal films about the cause.  *Short appeal would be a 1-3 minute of our PB play among the 50 other states. 

WEAR…Something Red and even something silly.  Red Noses, bow ties, beads and hats will be provided they do not need to be purchased.  WEAR the blue Grand Pickleball shirts for filming NO logo’d attire or hats can be filmed.

WHEN… In the continued spirit of raising money to help lift children out of poverty, NBC is once again set to celebrate Red Nose Day with a two-hour television event. The second annual Red Nose Day special will air Thursday, May 26, 2016 / 9:00 – 11:00 p.m. ET.
