The Sun City Grand Pickleball Club will be hosting the first ever Super Senior International Pickleball Association Tournament on March 21 – 23, 2017. This Tournament is a USAPA sanctioned event. It is a double elimination – skill tournament 3.0 to 5.0 open to all players 65 and older. Entry fee will be $40 and pays for all events, SCG Pickleball members will receive $5 off on the entry fee. You must be a member of USAPA to play in this event ( 1 year membership is $25). You must also be a member of the SSIPA or purchase a one time membership to play (cost is $5).To register go to Pickleballtournaments.com, go to Future Tournaments, and tab down to the event. Registration closes on March 7, 2017; however people will be traveling from different parts of the country to play in this event and the tournament is filling up fast, so if you are interested in playing you should register as soon as possible. We will need volunteers for this tournament. Members who volunteer will get a monitor credit for every 3 hours they work. Volunteers are needed for posting scores, manning the snack table, First aid, and shuttle drivers to transport players from the Grace Church (there will be no parking at the courts due to limited parking) at the corner of Mountain View and Shadow Mountain.
