Just last Monday, a few of the pickleball club’s BOD’s met with some of the tennis clubs BOD’s to discuss our clubs and how we can help each other out. We made it clear to them that we are not interested in taking over any of their tennis courts and in fact, wanted to help support them in any way that we could. We talked about issues that we/they are having (CAM wanting to put a basketball half court onto a tennis court), sponsorships, tournaments, and many more items of interest. We will be trying to have monthly meetings with the tennis club during the summer to grow our clubs friendship. We are looking at having joint fundraising events in the fall to support our charities.
The time for clubs battling each other is way past time to be over and the time for working together for the good of all of Sun City Grand is now.
