Skill Level Notice and Drop In Changes

2024 SKILL-LEVEL DROP-IN

COURT RESTRUCTURING

Your 2024 Board of Directors is excited to announce the start of afternoon skill-level drop-in sessions.  In order to alleviate overcrowding at morning drop-in each skill-level will be assigned four courts several days per week in the afternoon between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.  This will start on January 29 2024.

The particulars for skill-level drop-in are as follows:

  • Novice:
    • Sunday and Thursday
    • Courts 1 through 4
  • Intermediate:
    • Monday and Friday
    • Courts 5 through 8
  • Advanced:
    • Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
    • Courts 13 through 16
  • Advanced+:
    • Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday
    • Courts 18 through 21

Given concerns from the membership regarding the allocation of courts between skill levels during morning drop-in, the Board will also be restructuring the courts.

The particulars for morning drop-in are as follows:

  • Courts 1 through 4 = Novice (no change).
  • Courts 5 through 12 = Intermediate (no change).
  • Courts 13 through 18 (no change) and courts 21 and 22 (added) = Advanced.
  • Courts 19 and 20 = Advanced+ (minus courts 21 and 22)

The Board is asking members to be considerate of the number of players who would like to play each day.  Therefore, we are asking players to choose either morning drop-in or afternoon skill-level drop-in / not both.

This will allow a greater number of players to utilize our courts.  Members will still be able to play seven days per week if they wish, but will also hopefully alleviate some of the overcrowding in the morning.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we try out this new system.
