Those interested may also want to review the Club Bylaws and the “2014 Chartered Clubs Policies & Procedures.”
Nominations will remain open and additional nominees are encouraged until the next membership meeting on October 13, 2015. A call for other nominations will take place at the October membership meeting and then nominations will be closed. Elections will take place at the November 10, 2015 membership meeting.
Members of the nominating committee are: Sharon Navratil, Linda Durkee and Nancy Hebeda. The board would like to thank them for volunteering and helping the club with this year’s nominations. Nominations should be sent to the nominating committee. Please verify that your nominee will serve if nominated.
2) Club members Marlene Berwald and Sharon Navratil are featured in an article in the August 5th issue of the Surprise Independent, “Club Members Share Latest News.” The article reports on their visit to the first USA Pickleball Ambassador Retreat. The article is on page 11.
3) The August 5th issue of the Surprise Independent also has responses to club member Bob Julian’s letter to the Editor of 7/22. Among those responding is club member Tom McClintock. The responses are on page 4. Thanks to all who are raising the issue of our need for more pickleball courts in local media.
